Youth Business Network and our connected Association of International Relation Students organize every year a study visit to the European Union institutions for political scientists and students from Greece, Western Balkans and Turkey. This programme intends to provide young advocates with relevant knowledge concerning the European Union institutions and policies in order to increase their effective participation in EU policy making processes and better use of EU institutions and mechanisms in their advocacy actions. This is certificate training and participants they need to follow all the training to claim their certification.
This year the study visit is planned for 04/08 November in Brussels . This year we have team up with European Students for Liberty and we will attend The Maastricht Regional Conference on Saturday 5th November. The programme will be organised around four days. The first part of day one will aim to give participants necessary briefing information concerning the EU institutions and policies. It will also give activists the tools and tips needed for EU level advocacy. During the afternoons of both days, the participants will have meetings with officials at the European External Action Service, European Commission, the European Parliament but also with civil society organisations and networks operating in Brussels.
On Saturday 5th November 2016, the second ESFL Regional Conference will take place in the lovely city of Maastricht, the oldest city in the Netherlands and birth place of the European Union. Visitors will have the opportunity to listen to, explore and openly participate in the discussions surrounding this year’s theme “Europe & Liberty”. Furthermore, they will be able to meet other students, educators, researchers, NGOs, think-tank leaders and others involved in the promotion of the ideas of freedom.
